Based on 2" Depth

Screened = 1 ton of 3/4" or 1" covers approximately 100 sq. ft.

Screened - 1 ton 1/2" covers approximately 100 sq. ft.

Dirt, ABC, AB Mix, Sand, 3/8 Material & any Minus material = 1 ton covers approximately 100 sq. ft.

Rip Rap = 40 sq ft per ton using 3-6" rip rap.

Figuring Square Footage

Driveway or Pad Coverage

Example 1

Standard Driveway or Pad to be covered with Stone, 6" Deep

15' x 25' = 375 Square Feet

Example 2

L-Shaped Driveway or Pad to be covered with Stone, 7" Deep

This would be done in two sections

18' x 40' = 720 Square Feet

10' x 40' = 400 Square Feet

400' + 720' = 1,120 Square Feet

Calculating Circles

Example 1

Length Around a Circle, 18' Round Swimming Pool

18/2 = 9 (total linear feet around pool)

To add 2' of stone around this pool 3" deep:

9 x 9 x 3.14 = square footage

Example 2

Square Footage Inside a Circle, 24' Round Swimming Pool

124/2 = 12 (total linear feet around pool)

To add 4' of sand evenly across pool:

12 x 12 x 3.14 = square footage
